What's a Bar?
A bar (measure) is a small chunk of musical time. Most pop songs use 4/4 time β 4 beats per bar. Sections are usually built from tidy phrase lengths like 4, 8, or 16 bars, because that grouping feels balanced to our ears. These are conventions, not hard rules.
